Crítica: Blinded For Lies – Unity (2016)

Las lagrimas me caían por el rostro, mientras mi corazón latía a mil por hora. Ellos me perseguían con aquellos perros adiestrados para matar. La culpa fue totalmente nuestra. "Las cabezas pensantes" crearon una sociedad vacía y sumisa. Ahora todos estábamos pagando ese precio. Los pulmones y la garganta me ardían mientras corro desesperadamente por salvar mi vida, preguntándome como llegamos a esta situación. La crisis mundial acabo por explotar en las manos de nuestros gobernantes. Todo se sostuvo durante un tiempo. La gente parecía que no iba la cosa con ellos, y se quedaban pasivos mientras les arrebataban sus derechos y dignidad. Pero llegó un momento en el que la cantidad de indigentes era superior al número de personas con hogar. Comenzaron los primeros disturbios. En un principio aislados. Las fuerzas de seguridad, las cuales se suponían que estaban para protegernos no lo hacían. La represión y la violencia policial llegó a ser atroz. Hace tan solo dos meses que vi como asesinaban a golpes a mi mujer. ¿El motivo?, supongo que fue el mero hecho de demostrar quien mandaba. Esto hizo que me uniese a una banda callejera. Pagarían muy cara su muerte. Tal vez yo perecería, y ojala así fuera, pero de seguro me llevaría a unos cuantos por delante. Para esta empresa mis nuevas amistades estaban más que dispuestas. Estos individuos no eran antisistema. Solo se levantaron por que les era imposible seguir con la cabeza agachada viendo todo lo que estaba pasando. Los mandatarios decidieron que la ciudad estuviera sitiada. Crearían miedo y ejemplo al resto de lugares donde comenzaban a ocurrir sucesos similares, castigando a los ciudadanos que se opusieran a sus supuestas medidas. Decían que éstas a pesar de ser duras, eran necesarias para restaurar el orden y bienestar social. El mundo se derrumbaba ante nuestros ojos y no parecía que nadie pudiera salvarlo. Finalmente llegué a nuestro refugio. Una vez allí conté que había cumplido mi parte del plan. Las cargas explosivas en aquellos juzgados estaban puestas. Me preguntaron si les di correctamente esquinazo. Pensé que si y así se lo hice saber. Diez minutos más tarde todo el escondrijo estaba rodeado de agentes. Había llegado el momento de morir, pero vengaría la perdida de mi esposa antes de perder mi vida. 
Bienvenidos al universo de Blinded For Lies, así que ¡levántate y pelea!

 
Blinded For Lies es un combo de metalcore procedentes de Tenerife. Comenzaron su carrera  a comienzos de 2012. Dieron la primera muestra de su capacidad devastadora con el E.P "The Crown We Built", dejando a los fanáticos de este tipo de sonoridades francamente satisfechos. 
Ahora, y bajo el manto del sello Necromance Records, la banda nos presenta su primer L.P "UNITY". Este redondo verá la luz el 10 de julio de 2016, siendo el culpable de que estas esquelas hallan sido creadas. 
 
El line up es el siguiente:  Nico Martín (voz), Javier Hernández (guitarra), Kevin León (guitarra), Jorge Méndez (bajo), Daniel Páez (batería). 
 
En este primer asalto el conjunto nos presenta una obra maciza, agresiva y trágica, donde afortunadamente no hay rupturas de intensidad con innecesarios breaks vocales en limpio. Estos tíos no convierten sus temas en pop, y esto es muy de agradecer. Ya podrían aprender de ellos formaciones icónicas de este género como Killswitch Engage. Señores no se puede intentar gustar a todos y estos tipos lo saben, actuando en consecuencia. ASÍ SÍ. 
 
Los riffs son toda una apisonadora que destrozará tus huesos sin remisión. Los encontraremos contundentes, rítmicos y psicóticos, con leves pinceladas de dobles armonías. Aunque lo mejor viene cuando introducen riffs de melodic death metal. Prepárate para tener un golpe de adrenalina brutal con estas características. 
 
Las voces se basan en potentes guturales, aderezados con matices de coros hardcore que dotan a los temas donde aparecen de un sentimiento hímnico muy conseguido. 
 
Las baterías se mueven cómodamente en el mid tempo más potente, predominando de manera clara a los tiempos altos. A pesar de ello no os preocupéis, ya que la velocidad no falta, aunque su inclusión es muy justa. Por cierto, como sorpresa os toparéis con ínfimos pero efectivos instantes de blast beats. 
 
Al finalizar esta descripción global pasemos a comentar brevemente los mejores tracks de este debut. 
Personalmente destacaría "Farewell", "Father" y "Heavy Hearted" por los siguientes motivos: 
 
"Farewell" es una tonada donde todas las cualidades anteriormente nombradas están incluidas. ¿Deseas saber con un solo empuje como se las gastan los tinerfeños?, pues ya sabes, ponte este asalto y lo descubrirás. 
 
"Father" es sin duda la canción más fluida de todas en cuanto a guitarras y ritmos se refiere. Atentos al riff estilo Goteborg. 
 
"Heavy Hearted" te destrozará las vertebras con las ráfagas de blastbeats. Aunque lo que te dejará con la boca abierta será el breve interludio demencial semi limpio que contiene.

Si el mundo es justo, y ellos siguen por la senda aquí marcada deberían llegar realmente lejos. Yo no les perderé la pista, y te aconsejo que tu tampoco lo hagas.

They would create fear and example to the rest of places where began to occur similar events, punishing citizens who objected to his alleged actions. They said that despite being hard, were needed to restore order and social welfare. The world was crumbling in front our eyes and didn’t look that no one could save it. I finally arrived in our shelter. Once there I told that I had fulfilled my part of the plan. The explosive charges in those courts were placed. Ten minutes later we was surrounded by agents. It was time to die, but to avenge the loss of my wife before losing my life.
Welcome to the universe of Blinded For Lies, so stand up and fight!

Blinded For Lies is a metalcore band from Tenerife. They started their career at the beginning of 2012. They gave the first sign of its devastating ability with the E.P. "The Crown We Built", leaving fans of this type of sounds frankly pleased.

Now, and under the cloak of Necromance Records the band presents their first L.P "UNITY". This album will see the light 10^th July, 2016, being the culprit of these obituaries have been created.

The line up is: Nico Martin (vocals), Javier Hernández (guitar), Kevin Leon (guitar), Jorge Méndez (bass), Daniel Páez (drums).

In this first round the band presents a solid, aggressive, and tragic work, which fortunately there are no ruptures of intensity with unnecessary vocal breaks clean. These guys do not convert their songs in pop, and this is welcomed. Already iconic formations of this genre like Killswitch Engage could learn from them. Lords not can try to appeal to all and these types know it, acting accordingly.

The riffs are all a steamroller that will shatter your bones without remission. We will find them strong, rhythmic and psychotic, with slight touches of double harmonies. But the best comes when they introduce melodic death metal riffs. Get ready to have a brutal hit of adrenaline with these characteristics.

The voices are based on powerful guttural, seasoned with nuances of hardcore choirs.

Drums moving comfortably in the mid tempo more powerful, dominant clearly to the high times. However do not worry, since the speed is missing, although its inclusion is very fair. By the way, as a surprise you will run into with insignificant but effective moments of blast beats.

In my opinion, the best songs are "Farewell”, "Father” and "Heavy Hearted” for the following reasons:

"Farewell" is a song where all of the above-named qualities are included.

"Father" is without a doubt the more fluid song of all in terms of guitar and rhythms. Attentive to the riff Gothenburg style.

"Heavy Hearted" will shatter your vertebrae with gusts of blastbeats. The best moment is the brief semi-clean interlude.

If the world is fair, and they follow the path marked they should go really far. I do not lose track, and I advise you that your not to do it.
