Zeit es una banda formada en el año 2010 en Leipzig, Alemania, que practica un estilo a caballo entre el Black Metal y el Sludge. Su discografía cuenta con una demo y tres EP’s. El último de ellos se titula “Gram” y fue lanzado el 1 de abril de este mismo año 2016.

Este nuevo trabajo consta de cinco canciones y una duración aproximada de 25 minutos. En esta ocasión, Zeit han optado por darle un enfoque más ennegrecido a su música, dejando más de lado ese toque Sludge, aunque continúan añadiendo algunos ritmos más lentos, pero en menor medida. En “Gram” nos vamos a encontrar con una muralla sónica con una producción cruda que rememora la era primigenia del Black Metal y donde encontraremos unas composiciones que reúnen desde tremolos y blast beats, hasta melodías de corte más depresivas o incluso cierto regusto Punk en cuanto a ritmos se refiere; todo ello aderezado con shrieks relativamente pausados que evocan desde ira hasta melancolía, pero sobre todo dotando de una gran fuerza al conjunto de las canciones.

Muy posiblemente este EP va a gustar a los fans del Black Metal primitivo. Yo, sin duda, les voy a seguir la pista y estaré a la espera de su primer larga duración, porque seguro que seremos partícipes de un trabajo a la altura de las expectativas.

Zeit is a band formed in the year 2010 in Leipzig, Germany, who practices a Black Metal and Sludge style. Their discography have a demo and three EP’s. The latest one is titled "Gram" and was released on 1 April of this same year 2016.

This new album consists of five songs and lasting approximately 25 minutes. On this occasion, Zeit have opted to give a more blackened approach to their music, setting aside that touches Sludge, although they continue adding some slow rhythms, but to a lesser extent. In "Gram" we are going to find with a sonic wall with a raw production that recalls it was primordial of the Black Metal and where will find some compositions that meet from tremolos and blast beats, until depressive melodies or even certain aftertaste Punk for rhythms is refers; all this seasoned with shrieks relatively paused that evoke from anger to melancholy, but mostly providing of a great force to the joint of the songs.

Possibly this EP will like to the primitive Black Metal fans. I, certainly, will track them and I will be looking forward for the first long duration, because I’m sure that will be participants of a work will it measure up to the expectations.
