Desde Boston Massachusetts, bajo la etiqueta Death Metal, The Beast of Nod descargan su segundo EP autofinanciado, lleva por nombre “Arrival”. El corte que abre esta obra de “Death Metal” con tintes progresivos “The Beast Awakens” muestra desde un inicio la calidad técnica y compositiva, sin dejar la furia y agresividad del estilo, escalas armónicas descargadas en ráfagas veloces, adornan los riffs pesados y cortantes; duos de guitarras marcan los cambios de velocidad para dejar que la voz “Paul Buckley” exponga sus dos matices claramente diferenciados. Se utilizan técnicas de Metalcore y metal moderno que se mezclan fácilmente con la música de la vieja escuela del “Death Metal” más corrosivo, blast a doble pedal en complicidad con la guitarra marcando brutalidad de la mejor factura. Los cortes “Ascension” y “Cephalopod of Doom” los escucho y me recuerda a la vieja escuela de Death Sueco antes de la llegada del Melodeath.

Los solos de guitarra a cargo de Görebläster Körpse-härvest Lunden, son llevados a un nivel superior, las influencias de héroes de la guitarra como Michael Amott o James Murphy están presentes, logra acoplar escalas armónicas dentro de los solos, no se pierde la agresividad por la velocidad a la que son ejecutados. Un trabajo limpio con matices que marcan un sonido propio, The Beast of Nod no suena a copia. “When a Meganeura Flies” muestra una mayor mezcla de matices en pro de la vanguardia. El track que cierra estos 21 minutos de “Death Metal” “Hyperanal Hemorrhaging” descarga la furia para dar el broche de oro a esta gran obra.
La intención de un sonido cuidado y exquisito se debe a que Görebläster tiene un Ph.D. en física Atómica, y el cantante Paul estudió biología y química. La afición por algunos miembros de la banda a los comics, ha logrado desarrollar un universo paralelo que se explora en las liricas, y la temática de algunas de las melodías.
La banda la completan Brendan Burdick en el bajo y Nate MacMillen en las baterías, son los encargados de dar el soporte al sonido de The Beast of Nod. Este trabajo fue grabado y producido en los The Echoroom Recording Studios.
La banda regresa al estudio en otoño de 2016 para llevar a The Beast of Nod al siguiente nivel. Esperaremos con ansias sus siguientes pasos.

From Boston, Massachusetts, The Beast of Nod will release a self-funded EP called “Arrival”, with genre of Death Metal. The first track of the work, with progressive waves, “The Beast Awakens”, shows from the start technical and compositional quality, not leaving the fury and the aggressiveness of the genre. Harmonic scales discharged in quick bursts, ornament the hard and cutting riffs. Guitar duos mark the changes of speed for leave that the voice of Paul Buckley exposes his two distinct nuances. Are used techniques of Metal Core and modern metal that are blended easily with Death Metal of the old school more corrosive, double pedal blast, in complicity with the guitar marking the brutality of the best invoice. The intention of a cared and exquisite sound is because Görebläster has a Ph. D. in atomic physics and the vocalist Paul studied biology and chemistry. The group is completed by Brendan Burdick in the bass and Nate MacMillen in the drums. They’re in charge of support the sound of The Beast of Nod. This EP was recorded and produced in the Echoroom Recording Studios.
The band will return to the studio in the autumn of 2016 for take The Beast of Nod to the next level. We’ll wait with anxiety their next steps.
