Temple of Evil es una banda de Black Metal formada en el año 2008 en Chipre. A pesar de llevar tantos años en activo, ha sido en enero de este año cuando han lanzado su álbum debut de larga duración, titulado “The 7th Awakening”, a través de Deathhammer Records.

Temple of Evil han lanzado un debut donde el old school Black Metal y grandes dosis de melodía se entremezclan creando en conjunto un sonido versátil y compacto, junto a una atmósfera oscura que evoca rituales arcaicos, debido al predominio del mid-tempo y los diferentes registros vocales, los cuales son el susurro rasgado, coros limpios tanto de hombre como de mujer y una potente y desgarradora voz principal que impregna al sonido en general la dosis de oscuridad e ira necesaria para un disco de estas características. En el plano melódico la fluidez de las guitarras son las protagonistas, en ningún momento se llegan a alargar los riffs de manera que la música se haga monótona, porque en “The 7th Awakening” se combinan en todo momento riffs y solos, estableciéndose diferentes atmósfera y sensaciones para el oyente, como si de un viaje a través de una historia se tratara. Rítmicamente no se estancan en un simple tempo repetitivo, por lo que la variedad de ritmos ayuda a generar esa ambientación oscura, a veces melancólica, otras opresiva y crea en conjunto un mar de atmósferas que dinamizan la escucha.
En conclusión, Temple of Evil han hecho un buen debut donde el Black Metal primigenio y el de la segunda mitad de los 90 se mezclan de manera homogénea y no dejará indiferente a ningún seguidor de este género.

Temple of Evil is a Black Metal band formed in the year 2008 in Cyprus. Although the band has been in active for many years, in January of this year they have released their full-length debut album, entitled "The 7th Awakening", via Deathhammer Records.
Temple of Evil have released a debut where the old school Black Metal and large dose of melody is interspersed creating in set a sound versatile and compact, together an atmosphere dark that evokes ritual archaic, due to the predominance of the mid-tempo and different records vocal, which are the whisper tearing, choirs clean both of man as of woman and a powerful and heartbreaking voice main that permeates to the sound in general the dose of darkness and anger required for a disc with these characteristics. On the melodic plane fluidity of guitars are the protagonists, at any time they come to lengthen the riffs so the music becomes monotonous, because in "The 7th Awakening" merge all moments riffs and solos, establishing different atmospheres and sensations to the listener, as if from a trip through a history were. Rhythmically they not stagnate in a simple repetitive tempo, so the variety of rhythms helps generate that atmosphere dark, sometimes melancholic, other oppressive and altogether creates a sea of atmospheres to stimulate listening.
In conclusion, Temple of Evil have made a good debut where the primeval Black Metal and the Black metal of the second half of 90’s is mixed homogeneously and not leave indifferent to any follower of this gender.
