Proll Guns es un trío austriaco de Thrash ‘n’ Roll nacido en el año 2013. A través de sus tres años de existencia han lanzado una demo y dos álbumes de estudio; el último de ellos vio la luz el 29 de Enero de este mismo año 2016 y se titula “Horseflesh BBQ”.

He de confesar que la etiqueta Thrash ‘n’ Roll en un principio no me llamaba absolutamente nada la atención, pero con la primera escucha a su último disco quedé gratamente sorprendido. Para que nos entendamos, su música se podría describir perfectamente como la de unos Motorhead Panterizados y lo cierto es que suena muy original.
A pesar de ser una banda proveniente de Austria, podrían ser perfectamente originarios de Texas y es que tanto sus riffs como la temática de las letras son puramente americanas, siendo el tema principal de la lírica el salvaje oeste. Musicalmente destila macarrismo de principio a fin, riffs machacones, directos y crujientes que incluso se acercan al Punk en canciones como “Fucking Troublemaker” , líneas rítmicas básicas pero potentes e incluso pasajes de banjo como el de la intro “Texas Banjo Massacre” o “From Texas to Hell”. Si a ello se le añade la voz ronca de Evil Ed, la mezcla surgida es altamente adictiva. Además se atreven con una versión llevada a su terreno de “Lookin’ Out My Backdoor” de Creedence Clearwater Revival, la cual no desentona en absoluto. La contraparte más oscura la pone la última canción “Southern Slavery”, un mid-tempo con una gutural voz casi susurrando. Un punto y final de lo mas adecuado.
En conclusión, un disco de salvaje Rock que aúna estilos como el Thrash, el Stoner e incluso el Punk de una manera muy acertada y que seguro que gustará a fans de muy diferentes y variados estilos.

Proll Guns is a Thrash ‘n’ Roll trio from Austria born in the year 2013. Through its three years of existence they have released a demo and two studio albums; the last one was released on 29 January, 2016 and is titled "Horseflesh BBQ".
I have to confess that the label Thrash ‘n’ Roll at the beginning not impressed me absolutely nothing, but I was pleasantly surprised with the first listen to their latest album. So we understand it, your music could be perfectly described like a mix between Motorhead and Pantera. The truth is that it sounds very original.
Despite being a band from Austria, could be perfectly originating in Texas and it is that both their riffs and the theme of the lyrics are purely American, being the main theme the Wild West. Musically distilled wild attitude from beginning to end, direct, crisp, and heavy riffs that even approach to Punk in songs like "Fucking Troublemaker", basic but powerful rhythmic lines and even passages from banjo as the intro of "Texas Banjo Massacre" or "From Texas to Hell". Add to this the hoarse voice of Evil Ed, the mixture that arises is highly addictive. Also dare with a version of Creedence Clearwater Revival called "Lookin’ Out My Backdoor", which is not at odds at all. The last "Southern Slavery", a mid-tempo song puts the darker counterpart with a throaty voice, almost whispering. A point and end of the most suitable.
In conclusion, an album of savage Rock that combines styles such as Thrash, Stoner, Punk and even Country in a very successful manner and I’m sure that it will like to fans of very different and varied styles.
