Las tornas hacía años que habían variado. Desde que lideré la rebelión contra la civilización que nos mantenía oprimidos todo cambió. Ahora me resulta absurdo el hecho de que hubo un día en el que fuimos un pueblo pacifico de agricultores. Después de haber arrasado con todo y todos, mi ambición no tenía limites. Matubes es un combo de black metal procedentes de Bulgaria. Comenzaron su andadura musical en 2015. Precisamente en ese mismo año nos llegó su primer E.P "The Return of Black Metal". Arropados bajo el sello Distributor of Pain, esta obra es la razón por la que estas purulentas esquelas han sido creadas.
El line up es el siguiente: Hrasate (batería, guitarra y voces), D. (guitarra y voces), Temeurt (guitarra y voces), S. (voz y bajo).
En este primer asalto este grupo nos presenta una obra furiosa, solida, efectiva y efectista. Los búlgaros han tirado del manual del buen blacker para crear esta arremetida. Por otro lado, no deja un segundo de tregua al oyente, que se mete de pleno en la atmosfera insidiosa del Extended Play. Sin embargo, y a pesar de estas cualidades, no será nombrado como un referente actual en la escena del "metal negro" debido a que no aporta nada novedoso o sorpresivo.
La producción tiene el punto justo de crudeza, pero sin llegar a las marañas de sonido más inhumanas de primeros de los 90 cuando el género estaba en alza. Aquí podrás distinguir todas y cada una de las notas que estos tipos escupen con total convicción. Lo curioso, es que con un titulo que ensalza la vuelta de este tipo de metal, no hallan optado por algo mucho más crudo.
Los riffs son cambiantes, veloces y siniestros. Los encontramos a doble armonía, a una cuerda y por supuesto no faltan los momentos de disonancias. Este apartado es sin duda el mejor de todos, debido al dinamismo aquí exhibido.
En los registros vocales lo que predomina son obviamente lo shrieks. Asimismo deciden incluir instantes de coros o pinceladas de voces limpias malignas.
Las baterías son trepidantes y aceleradas. Up y mid tempos se entremezclan continuamente recalcando los momentos de celeridad. Eso sí, no esperéis ni un solo blast beat.
Al termino de esta descripción general pasemos a comentar brevemente los tres temas que conforman esta acometida.
"War Song" da el pistoletazo de salida a este empuje, ¡y de que manera! Con este track sabes perfectamente como será el camino del resto de las tonadas. Como decía anteriormente, los canjes de dirección son una constante. Atentos al riff a medio tempo que incluyen.
"Left Hand Path" muestra unos coros momentáneos que funcionan realmente bien en la estructura general de la canción.
"Drink the Poison Blood" es la favorita de este humilde redactor. Las líneas de bajo están más trabajadas aportando un plus de oscuridad. Por otro lado, es aquí donde encontraremos las tonalidades claras que mencionaba un poco más arriba.
Ahora mismo son un conjunto más, pero se les ve maneras. El tiempo dirá si se quedan en una eterna promesa o despuntan dentro de este tipo de música extrema.

Matubes is a black metal band from Bulgaria. Began their musical career in 2015. In that same year, we got their first E.P "The Return of Black Metal". Released under the label Distributor of Pain, this work is the reason why these festering obituaries have been created.
The line up is as follows: Hrasate (drums, guitar and vocals), D. (guitar and vocals), Temeurt (guitar and vocals), S. (vocals and bass).
In this first round this group presents a furious work, solid, effective and highly effective. The Bulgarians have pulled the good blacker manual to create this onslaught.
