Matalobos es una banda de Death/Doom Metal, formada en el año 2014, por E. Santamaría (Guitarras), D. (Voz), De Anda (Bajo) y C. Escalona (Batería), en la ciudad de León, México. En Abril del 2015 lanzaron su primer E.P llamado “Matalobos”, el cual contiene tres canciones, “The Murderer”, “Black Stone Walls” y “The Inmense Sea”.

Durante veintitres minutos, asistimos a un viaje a las profundidades de la mente humana, donde nos encontraremos con nuestros sentimientos más oscuros, y la verdad es que concentrar todo ese cúmulo de sensaciones en tan poco tiempo, es algo totalmente meritorio. Matalobos lo consigue y con creces.

A través de este viaje vamos a encontrar riffs pesados, elementos melódicos, interludios acústicos, mid tempos y tiempos más rápidos, todo esto aderezado con una voz agresiva alternada con voces limpias que no desentonan en ningún momento y forman una combinación perfecta. Si hay que ponerle un punto negativo, este se lo lleva la producción, ya que el bajo y la batería están muy por debajo de la guitarra y voces, aunque no por ello se haga inaudible.

Matalobos es una banda que ha comenzado con un gran debut y seguramente seguirán dando buenos trabajos. Atentos porque este año lanzarán su primer LP y si sois seguidores del Doom, yo de vosotros no me lo perdería.

Matalobos is a Death/Doom Metal band, formed in the year 2014, by D. (voice), E. Santamaría (guitars), De Anda (bass) and C. Escalona (drums), in the city of Leon, Mexico. In April 2015, they released their first E.P. called "Matalobos", which contains three songs, "The Murderer", "Black Stone Walls" and "The Inmense Sea".

During twenty-three minutes, we assist to a journey to the depths of the human mind, where we meet our darker feelings, and the truth is to focus all this accumulation of feelings in such a short time, is something totally worthwhile. Matalobos succeeds and far beyond.

Through this journey will find heavy riffs, melodic elements, acoustic interludes, mid tempos and faster times, all of this with an aggressive voice alternated with clean vocals that do not clash at any time and are a perfect combination. If you want to put a negative point, production, is this the bass and the drums are well below the guitar and vocals, although it is made inaudible.

Matalobos is a band that has begun with a great debut and surely will continue good works. Attentive because this year they released their first LP, and if you are followers of Doom, I you would not lose it me.
