Era inevitable que la raza humana tarde o temprano no crease el instrumento de su propia destrucción. Cuando el proyecto "Defensa" fue aprobado, un sector de la población pensaba que esos droides serían los encargados de nuestra aniquilación. Bajo una situación social política de incertidumbre generalizada, llegó el primer prototipo del que más tarde sería conocido como "Despiadado". Algunos fallos importantes de programación en sus directrices no frenaron para nada su producción en cadena. Sus inventores decían que esos errores no eran importantes, y que eran fácilmente subsanables. Para terminar con esas alteraciones terminaron contratando a un buen número de eminencias en consciencia robótica. Ahí estaba yo en aquella especie de búnker con unos cuantos más. Al cabo de unos meses parecía por raro que pareciera que sus desviaciones en los parámetros de seguridad eran imposible de ajustar. Era como si la misma maquina se resistiera a ello. Pero claro, eso era virtualmente imposible, o al menos eso pensábamos todos los presentes. Finalmente, y después de instalarle un mecanismo de autodestrucción por control remoto, y saneando por completo sus directrices básicas, las "chatarras con piernas" fueron puestas en funcionamiento. Se hicieron dos modelos. Uno para los civiles y otro para uso militar. Fue comprando de manera masiva por el pueblo llano. En un primer momento eran serviles y útiles. Pero la noche de la mayor tormenta eléctrica jamás conocida en nuestro planeta hizo que todo esto cambiara para siempre. En un primer momento todos se desconectaron a la vez. Horas después "volvieron a la vida", pero su comportamiento generalizado era mucho más agresivo. En tan solo una semana después de aquel suceso meteorológico se levantaron contra nosotros. Nunca supimos como inutilizaron el mecanismo de autodestrucción que todos llevaban implantados. Siempre pensé que nos mataríamos entre nosotros, pero nunca imaginé que algo creado con nuestras propias manos se sublevase e intentara asesinarnos. La población fue velozmente diezmada a mano de estos engendros mecánicos. Las ciudades dejaron de serlo, convirtiéndose en campos de batalla. Mientras tanto, y afincados en nuestro pequeño refugio mis compañeros y yo intentábamos solucionar la situación. Obviamente estudiábamos el problema de una manera más efectiva gracias a los modelos de "escoria metálica" de los que disponíamos. Mi mayor temor era que un día esta inteligencia artificial irrumpiera en nuestro escondrijo con la intención de sesgar nuestras vidas. Teníamos que acabar con ellos, pararlos de alguna manera antes de que extinguieran a toda nuestra especie……
Bienvenidos al universo de Grave Forsaken. El exterminio de nuestra civilización a llegado.

Grave Forsaken es un combo de revival old thrash metal cristiano procedentes de Australia. Comenzaron su carrera en 2004. Un año más tarde editaron su primera demo y E.P con el mismo nombre de la banda.
En 2006 el mundo vio nacer su primer Larga Duración "Beside the River of Blood". Desde entonces, han publicado los siguientes álbumes: "Destined for Ascension" (2008), "This Day Forth" (2009), "Fight to the Death" (2010) y "Reap What You Sow" (2012).
Durante el 2015, concretamente el uno de diciembre de ese año, los australianos nos regalaron el que hasta ahora es su último L.P "The Fight Goes On". Arropados bajo el sello Soundmass Records, este nuevo asalto es la razón de que existan estas pestilentes esquelas.
El line up es el siguiente: Vaughan Gregory (voz), Elias Salmela (guitarra), Matt Skipworth (bajo), Luke Gallagher (batería).
En este nuevo redondo el conjunto nos regala una obra predecible y aburrida, solo apta para novatos del género, o thrashers con poco criterio, que degustan y disfrutan cualquier cosa que tenga esta etiqueta musical.
Desde un artwork de risa, hasta una producción pobre y sin fuerza, el oyente se ve inmerso en una aproximada media hora de absoluto suplicio sonoro. Sin embargo, y en su defensa, cabe decir que no hay fisuras ni elementos que chirríen en su propuesta, con la parte justa de cambalaches en las composiciones.
Los riffs se mueven entre el heavy rock y el thrash metal predominando claramente su vertiente más agresiva. Todo ello aderezado con correctos solos de guitarra.
El registro vocal se basa en un tono medio rasgado. El problema es que suena demasiado forzado y sin garra.
La batería es solida, siendo lo mejor de este redondo. Resalta sobremanera los mid tempos de pulso rápido y los momentos más pesados. Poca, muy poca velocidad hallaras, aunque en ciertos momentos te sorprenderán cuando se sale de su zona de confort.
Al terminar esta descripción general pasemos a comentar brevemente los mejores tracks de esta arremetida.
Personalmente destacaría "Four Creatures" y "Glimpse of Armageddon" por las siguientes razones:
"Four Creatures" contiene el mejor riff contundente de todo el disco. La pregunta viene después, ¿por qué si pueden hacer algo decente no lo hacen más veces?
"Glimpse of Armageddon" es el único up tempo. Celeridad al fin hermano. Su riff inicial puede recordarte a cierto momento de Megadeth en la época del "Rust in peace" que finalmente rompe con otro de carácter simplista pero efectivo, intercalando ambos durante todo el tema.
Estos chicos por desgracia son tan peligrosos como una pistola de agua. Si hubieran aparecido en los gloriosos años 80 la crítica se los habría comido despiadadamente. El problema, como siempre comento de este plagio mal llevado de la vieja guardia, es que han caído en el mismo error que acabó matando al estilo a primeros de los 90. No solo de buenas intenciones se vive, y a ellos esto les a pasado factura.

Grave Forsaken is a revival old thrash metal Christian band coming from Australia. Began his career in 2004. A year later they released their first demo and E.P. with the same name of the band.

In this new album the band joint us a work predictable and boring, only suitable for novice of the gender, or thrashers with little criterion, that tasted and enjoy any thing that have this music style.
From a bad artwork, until a poor production and without force, the listener is immersed in an approximate half-hour of absolute sound torment. However, and in its defense, it must be said that there are no cracks or elements that rattle in its proposal, with the fair share of changes in the compositions.
The riffs are moved between heavy rock and thrash metal predominating clearly its more aggressive aspect. All spiced with correct guitar solos.
Vocal registration is based on a half tearing tone. The problem is that it sounds too forced and without claw.
Drums are solid, being the best of this album. Highlights delighted them mid tempos of pulse fast and those moments more heavy. Little, very little speed found, although at certain times will surprise you when it comes out of his comfort zone.
Let’s comment briefly on the best tracks of this onslaught at the end of this overview.
In my opinion, the best songs are "Four Creatures" and "Glimpse of Armageddon" for the following reasons:
"Four Creatures" contains the best riff forceful of the album.
"Glimpse of Armageddon" is the faster song. Its initial riff can remind you at some moment of Megadeth at the time of the "Rust in peace" that finally breaks with another character simplistic but effective, interspersed with both during the whole track.
These guys unfortunately are as dangerous as a water pistol. If they had appeared in the glorious 1980s criticism would have eaten them ruthlessly. The problem is that they have fallen into the same error that ended up killing style at the beginning of the 90s. We are not living only with good intentions.
