Crítica: Goddamn – More Human Than Us (2016)

"BrokenTomb"

[English below]

Personalmente destacaría "Blackened", "The Flesh Of Gods", "Paradoxical Truth""H.U.M.A.N." por los siguientes motivos:

¡BUEN LONG PLAY!

"BrokenTomb"

[English version]

Only a few were aware of what is intended to be the Government. The vaccine created to give consciousness to animals for later military use had begun just a few months ago. Experimentation and torture with certain types of species was brutal, and sometimes absurd. Different substances were inoculated them into the blood. We could see how some chimpanzees came to articulate words. While other races as the bears showed absolute understanding what was said. This little happened until they return completely crazy and dangerous. We had that carry out their extermination, since they were quite unpredictable. Just a few days ago and once a primate verbally requested clemency by holding up his hands made me, holding my forearm with force, decided to resign from the project. The nightmares began just after leaving those facilities. Soon I was aware of that touch me the monkey had transferred me inexplicably his soul and conscience, now being part of me. My mind was transformed little by little. Not lost my essence completely, but something inside my felt he had to put an end to such barbarism. So I decided to put these beings in freedom. Also came to the decision to expand the virus that gave them intelligence, manipulated and enhanced to not lose sanity. For months I planned my inclusion in the top-secret government compound. Although every time I was harder to think clearly, since the presence of the critter in my brain was growing stronger. That night, and thanks to that was not yet unused identification card entered the complex. Obviously I worked so long there, so, I knew how to circumvent not only to security personnel, if not also to cameras and other defensive systems. Finally, I managed to reach the room where they were specimens. Once inside, inoculated them a new substance created by me. This gave them consciousness but he was not insane. They left in Stampede. While all that was happening I started me to expand the new strain around the world. The mechanism was an air broadcast by drones. At that moment they broke into the room. Spread button pressed until they could put an end to my life. Before my dead, the President asked me before I died, why?, my answer was "because they are more human than us"…

Welcome to the Goddamn‘s Universe. It begins a new era where the animal Kingdom will be revealed against the man.

Goddamn is a combo of groove /metalcore from Jaén (Andujar). They started their career in 2009. In that year they released their first E.P. "No Hay Dios" showing the world his undeniable talent. Five years later released a maxi single called "From The Ashes" which served to keep alive the flame, destroying once again everything that made them ahead. During this time Necromance Recods realized its clear potential, their subsequent move in the process.

Two years later finally have in our hands the first L.P. Baptized with the name of "More Human Than us" is the protagonist of these stark obituaries.

The line up is as follows: Juan Ángel Martos (voice), Ismael García (guitar), Juan Antonio Navarro (guitar and vocals), Juan Antonio Gutiérrez (bass), Francisco Llévenes (drums).

In this first round the Andalusians presents a devastating, chaotic and dramatic, but above all strong, work where we find clear influences of formations such as Chimaira and Gojira in its proposal. In addition, the band introduces elements of the deathcore, so obviously there is a savagery plus during the course of the aforementioned.<br>The production is contemporary. They get a deafening sound, with a spot of dirt that makes them gain strength. However don’t be alarmed, here each note is perfectly distinguished. So, do you want force?, because there is more than enough.

The riffs are without tension with tuning low and simplistic, but terribly effective. On the other hand, we find surprises, as for example nuances of double harmonies, or touches of riffs to a string.

In the tones of voice you will find screamings low and powerful, with insignificant moments in clean in just two songs of ten tracks that compose this disc. Do not think that in those breaks the intensity will decrease and those two songs become pop, as do the boys of Caliban, Killswitch Engage, quite the opposite. Gentlemen here there is not that problem.

Drums moving clearly in the med tempo. Despite this, moments of up tempos decongest and enrich the composition and execution of the songs.

Personally, the best songs are "Blackened”, "The Flesh Of Gods”, "Paradoxical Truth” and "H.U.M.A.N.” for the following reasons:

"Blackened" is the song that you must hear if you want to know that is this album.

With "The Flesh Of Gods" will discover that I did not lie when commented above regarding this sound. In this case your mind will say strong and clearly: Chimaira!

"Paradoxical Truth" will remain etched in your head.

Do you want deathcore?, then hear "H.U.M.A.N.", it shall kick in the face and it shall leave you unconscious several days. You have been warned.

If this band were of United States, the criticisms would be very good. I mean the following: Do not look out because here there are very good bands. GOOD LONG PLAY! If they have got to convince anyone that this type of metal not interested, as it is my case, imagine…
