Desde Oporto Portugal, nos llega el trabajo debut de la banda DEBUNKER. Banda de Thrash Metal, fundada en 2011, con una alineación original de 5 componentes: Paulo Rodrigues en las voces, Miguel Vaquero y Carlos Barros en las guitarras, Joaquín Texeira en el bajo y Ricardo Texeira en la batería.

En los inicios, concebida como una banda de la nueva ola de thrash del siglo XXI, con un enfoque rápido y agresivo. El mismo que se transforma rápidamente a medida que se alimenta de las nuevas y diferentes tendencias de metal contemporáneo, da como resultado una identidad musical propia. Se genera un thrash con matices crossover , rápido con emotivos cambios, cuidadas y brillantes melodías. La química perfecta transformada en thrash.

Las líricas forman parte importante en la esencia del sonido y concepto DEBUNKER. Con la intención de complementar la música, y servir como alimento para el alma. La pasión de Paulo, se adentra en los cuestionamientos filosóficos más generales, sobre la naturaleza humana, logra impregnar cada tema con emociones crudas, fuerza y brutal honestidad.

Este es su Ep debut “The Invisible Disorder”, se lanzó al mercado en diciembre de 2015. Contiene 5 cortes, cada uno con identidad propia. Podemos encontrar Heavy, Thrash, Crossover, de fácil asimilación.

“After The War”, Heavy metal en estado natural, que acelera y toma velocidad para ingresar en el solo de guitarra. “Blindsided”, tiene un inicio con mas pegada, mejores transiciones en velocidad , y un coro pegadizo. “The Logical Zombie”, un riff sencillo que será básico a través del track. “Redshift”, es el cuarto corte, inicia con una serie de remates de batería sobre un riff cortante, el estribillo pegadizo se queda incrustado en la memoria. El corte final “The Invisible Disorder”, el que da nombre a este debut, agresivo desde el inicio, el mejor tema de este trabajo, el registro vocal pasea por diferentes matices. A mitad del track se hace un interludio con menos revoluciones, que prepara un camino hacia un veloz solo de guitarra.

Este 2016 servirá para que DEBUNKER presente su propuesta cerca de Oporto, dando soporte a este gran trabajo de estreno. Un trabajo equilibrado, en momentos me ha recordado a los mejores años del crossover en finales de los años 80’s.

From Porto Portugal, comes out the debut work of the band DEBUNKER. A thrash metal band, founded in 2011 with an original line-up of 5 components: Paulo Rodrigues on vocals, Miguel Vaquero and Carlos Barros on guitars, Joaquín Texeira on bass and Ricardo Texeira on drums.

In the beginning, conceived as a band of the new wave of thrash the century XXI, with a fast and aggressive approach. Same as quickly it is changing as it feeds on new and different trends of contemporary metal, results in an own musical identity. It’s generated a thrash with crossover nuances, fast with emotional changes, cared and bright melodies. The perfect chemistry transformed into thrash.

The lyrics are an important part of the essence of sound and DEBUNKER concept. Intending to complement the music, and serve as food for the soul. The passion of Paulo, delves into the more general philosophical questions, about human nature, reaches to permeate every subject with raw emotions, strength and brutal honesty.

This is their debut EP, "The Invisible Disorder", was launched in December 2015. It contains 5 tracks, each with an own identity. We find Heavy, Thrash, Crossover, of easy assimilation.

"After The War", Heavy metal in natural state, which accelerates and takes speed to get in the guitar solo. "Blindsided" has a start with more punch, better transitions in speed, and a catchy chorus. "The Logical Zombie", a simple riff that will be essential through the track. "Redshift" is the fourth song, starts with series of drum shots on a cutting riff; the catchy chorus is embedded in memory. The final track, "The Invisible Disorder", which gives the name to their debut, is aggressive from the start, the best track of this work, the vocal walks through different nuances. Halfway through the track, an interlude with less revolutions, prepares a way to a fast guitar solo.

This 2016 will be used by DEBUNKER to present their proposal near Oporto, supporting this great work release. A balanced work, at times reminded me of the best years of crossover in the late 80’s.
