Crítica: Al Namrood & Darkestrah – Akyr Zaman / Tajer Al Punqia (2016)

Bajo el sello Shaitán Productions este 25 de marzo de 2016, se publica el Split Cd, con etiqueta Folk/Black Metal, con las bandas Darkestrah inspirado en la historia turca, la banda reside en Alemania; y la segunda Al Namrood banda procedente de Arabia Saudita e inspirada en la historia de Arabia.

Darkestrah ha editado 6 trabajos anteriores, algunos distribuidos por la famosa Osmose Productions, en este Split cd, la banda nos recrea en una suite de 12 minutos de duración. El track lleva por nombre "Akyr Zaman" esta es una versión nueva, el corte publicado inicialmente en el trabajo “Embrace of Memory” de 2007, es una genial muestra de creatividad, desde el inicio del corte se crea una atmosfera entre el ruido del fuego de una hoguera hasta que irrumpe un timbal y deja caer unas voces de corte parecido a un ancestral mantra tibetano, todo se interrumpe con un golpe de platillos y dejarnos a merced de un interludio sinfónico capaz de trasladar tu mente o tus pensamientos a un paisaje preparatorio de aires de guerra, la atmósfera se ve transformada en oscuridad en el minuto 4:18 con un grito, aquí se rompe la calma y el track es una pieza del mejor Black Metal. Entre la obscuridad musical del track se intercalan momentos de corte Epico que denotan triunfo. "Akyr Zaman" tiene todos los matices del mejor Black Metal como fue concebido en sus orígenes, en el minuto 11:04 un violín junto a unas voces ancestrales y los tambores marcando la cadencia de la batalla nos dibujan un final cercano, el mismo que llega con un golpe de Gong, las voces ancestrales quedan solas a merced del crepitar del fuego inicial.

Al Namrood también tienen editados 5 trabajos antes de este cd compartido, el nombre de la banda significa Nimrod y es el nombre de un rey Babilonio, la identidad de los integrantes debe ser anónima, y evitar problemas con las autoridades Saudíes. En lo musical existen los sonidos de instrumentos folklóricos, pero las melodías toman un camino cercano al punk en lo ortodoxo y crudeza del sonido, el registro vocal es difícil de asimilar quiero pensar que la influencia de Voivod esta presente, y siguen los patrones líricos de Denis Belanger “Snake” que ha convertido en un arte difícil de recrear y catalogar. El tema lleva por nombre "Tajer Al Punqia partes uno y dos". El caos y el punk intervienen para conjuntarse a los instrumentos eléctricos y folklóricos. No apto para oídos sensibles, pero si buscas nuevos horizontes auditivos lo podrás disfrutar.

In the label Shaitan Productions, this 25^th March, a split album will be released. A Folk/Black Metal genre, with the bands Darkestrah, from Germany, inspired in the Turkish story; and the other one Al Namrood, from Saudi Arabia, inspired in their own story, the Arabic.

Darkestrah has already released 6 works before, some of these published by the famous Osmose Productions. In this brand new album, the band recreates us in a suite of 12 minutes of duration. The track is called "Akyr Zaman", a new edit, because initially, was published a cut in their 2007 album, “Embrace of Memory”, a brilliant sample of creativity. From the start, it’s created an atmosphere produced by the fire noise of a bonfire until a drum bursts and we can hear some voices that seems to an ancient Tibetan mantra. All is interrupted by a hit of cymbals and it leaves us to a symphonic interlude able to move your mind and your thoughts to a landscape with waves of war. The atmosphere is transformed to darkness in the minute 4:18 with a shout. Here, the calm it’s broken and the track becomes to a Black Metal masterpiece. Among the musical darkness of the track, are inserted epic moments that denote triumph. "Akyr Zaman" has all the nuances of the best Black Metal, as was conceived in his origins. In the minute 11:04, a violin together with ancient voices and drums marking the cadence of the fight draws us a nearby end. The end arrives with a Gong; the ancient voices are left alone at the mercy of the initial fire crackle.

Al Namrood has published 5 albums before this shared CD. The name of the band means Nimrod that’s the name of a Babylonian king. The identity of the members must be anonymous, for avoid problems with Saudis authorities. In the music exists sounds of folkloric instruments, but the melodies take a close way to the punk, in the orthodox and the rawness of the sound. The vocal register is hard to assimilate. I want to think that the influence of Avoid is present and follows the lyrical patterns of Denis “Snake” Bélanger that has converted to a difficult art to recreate and catalogue. The track is called "Tajer Al Punqia, Part I-II". The chaos and the punk appear to be combined with electric and folkloric instruments. Unfit for sensitive ears, but if you’re looking for new horizons you’ll be able to enjoy it.
