Aephanemer es una banda de Death Metal melódico fundada en el año 2013 como un proyecto en solitario de Martin Hamiche (guitarra) llamada en un principio NifRiffs. Tras un tiempo decidió cambiarle el nombre por Aephanemer y lanzó un primer EP titulado “Know Thyselve”. Más adelante refuerza la estructura del proyecto reclutando a Anthony (bajo), Marion (guitarra,voz) y Mickäel (batería) como miembros permanentes y después de dos años de composición, el 16 de septiembre saldrá su primer álbum de larga duración titulado “Memento Mori”.

No cabe duda de que la espera por el primer LP de Aephanemer ha merecido la pena. Nos encontramos ante un álbum sólido, con unas composiciones hechas con pasión y que contienen personalidad propia. Aephanemer no solo se ha limitado a copiar a las grandes bandas escandinavas del género, sino que han plasmado su propia visión y a lo largo del álbum han añadido elementos enriquecedores como pasajes sinfónicos acompañando a los solos y riffs de guitarra, los cuales son muy fluidos, también hay momentos puntuales de voces limpias añadiendo un punto de dramatismo a las sensaciones que desprenden las canciones.
Por otra parte, los cambios de dirección en la sección rítmica son de agradecer, pues no dejan que el disco se estanque en ningún momento y la escucha de “Memento Mori” se vuelve adictiva desde el primer momento.
La agresiva voz de Marion es el complemento perfecto a un álbum que deja constancia de que el Death Metal melódico dista mucho de estar muerto.
En mi opinión, lo más representativo del álbum se encuentra en las canciones “The Oathsworn” y “Memento Mori” por reunir todas las características que componen este disco. Como dije anteriormente, elementos sinfónicos, destacables solos y riffs, cambios de tempo, una agresiva voz rasgada y voces limpias.
Aephanemer es una banda que han empezado con muy buen pie y sin duda pueden llegar a hacerse un hueco en la escena si reciben el reconocimiento que se merecen. Yo os animo a que escuchéis este primer álbum de estudio y si sois seguidores del género, seguro que no os decepcionará.

Aephanemer is a melodic Death Metal band founded in the year 2013 as a solo project of Martin Hamiche (guitar) called NifRiffs initially. Aephanemer not only is has limited to copy to them great Scandinavian bands of the gender, but have captured its own vision and along the album have added elements enriching as symphonic passages accompanying to them solos and riffs of guitar, which are very fluid, also there are occasional moments of clean voices adding a point of drama to them feelings that emerge them songs.
Moreover, them changes of address in the section rhythmic is to be welcomed, because it prevents fall into the monotony and listening "Memento Mori" is addictive from the first time.
The aggressive voice of Marion is the perfect complement to an album that record that melodic Death Metal is far from dead.

Aephanemer is a band that deserve recognition. You should hear this debut album and if are followers of the genre, I am sure that it wouldnt disappointed you.
